The police can dish out entirely unnecessary violence with impunity but a bit of spit and a few tiny girl bumps with a shield gets 6 years prison time. That length seems beyond insane for the offense.

A longer sentence than a serving police officer gets a couple of days before for attempted rape and causing actual bodily harm while assaulting the victim.

Protesting is a “limited” Right under the Human Rights Act, meaning it can be deemed unlawful to protect health, morals, rights and freedoms. E.g. we can’t have the ENGLISH Defence League protesting against Islam because that directly imposes on their Freedom thought/ belief and religion.
This protest clearly went above and beyond the legal limits, she got her well deserved sentence
