Pakistan has increased the notified prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) by up to 16.17 percent, according to a government notification issued on Saturday, raising the cost of gas supplied through both the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) networks.
Under the revised pricing mechanism, the LNG price for consumers connected to the SSGC system has been increased by $2.59 per MMBtu, taking the new notified rate to $18.64 per MMBtu.
Similarly, the government has raised the LNG price for the SNGPL network by $2.54 per MMBtu, with the revised notified price set at $19.52 per MMBtu.
The latest revision represents one of the recent adjustments to notified LNG prices, with both gas distribution companies recording increases of more than $2.5 per MMBtu under the updated pricing structure.
The notification formally implements the new LNG rates, setting the prices at $18.64 per MMBtu for SSGC and $19.52 per MMBtu for SNGPL.
