/r/Ireland’s Teenage Socialists came to mind

  1. Teens shouldn’t be that worried about housing, at least not long term. These things have a habit of sorting themselves out in the long run. For my generation (LC in ‘92), most were either seriously considering or dead set on emigration after college. Economy was a no-hope basket case and the idea of sustained recovery was laughable. We envied our parents ability, at our age, to walk from one job to another, with only their school exams, just as you now envy our ability to buy homes (although not even all of us can!). But then, not long after college, the impossible happened. The economy started slowly but surely to surge and all our worry had been for nought.

  2. Crazy that young people who will eventually look to buy a house in Ireland see how absolutely unaffordable they have become.

Honestly so many posts lately in this sub are so brainrotting its baffling lmfao

  3. Well why not. They only have a few years left before they have to deal with the shite show. Maybe they hope the situation improves by then.
