MILWAUKEE —
Vice President JD Vance is scheduled to visit the 128th Air Refueling Wing in Milwaukee on Wednesday. No additional details have been provided.
His most recent trip came Feb. 26, when he visited a machining facility in Plover, outside Stevens Point, two days after President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address. He was joined by Rep. Derrick Van Orden, whose district includes the facility.
In August 2025, Vance visited La Crosse, where he spoke with steelworkers and addressed the Minneapolis school shooting and crime in Milwaukee. During that visit, he clashed with Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson over whether National Guard troops should be deployed to the city.
Vance made multiple stops in Wisconsin during the 2024 campaign as the Republican vice-presidential nominee, including appearances in Milwaukee, Kenosha, Eau Claire, De Pere, Waukesha, Racine and La Crosse.
