A Southampton woman is aiming to become the first British Indian winner of Miss Universe Great Britain.
Aryana Neo is competing in the event on Saturday, July 11, at The Riverfront in Newport, South Wales.
If she wins, she will represent Great Britain at the global Miss Universe competition in Puerto Rico later this November.
Ms Neo, a radio and television presenter, is also a passionate advocate for female empowerment.

She said: “I believe in the power of community and the impact we can make together.
“Through my campaign, Dare To Inspire, I aim to encourage young people to embrace their unique individuality and dare to inspire themselves and others and push themselves into the uncomfortable, as that’s where the magic happens.”
Ms Neo recently organised a Bollywood charity event that raised more than £1,200.
She is sponsored by Dr Xavier & Associates, a health and wellness clinic based in Southampton and Fitzrovia.
