Public-sector deployments combining multilingual translation and generative AI chat front-ends increase emphasis on localization, hallucination mitigation, logging, and data-governance requirements for production services. According to reporting by Asiae and local outlets, Gyeonggi Province has developed an integrated online Migrant Portal that uses a generative AI chatbot and real-time multilingual translation to consolidate residency, labour, healthcare, education, and welfare information for foreign residents. Asiae reports the project began with a kickoff meeting on November 18, 2025 and targeted development over six months with a first-half-2026 launch. Reporting by Khan and Migrantimes on January 21-23, 2026 says the portal will provide intent-aware Q&A trained on frequently asked questions, community spaces organised by nationality and region, location-based services, and real-time translation via Google Translate. Gyeonggi’s government materials on the portal site note the service uses generative AI and warn users to read usage guidance.
