The Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine in defense, finances, and policy, but will no longer be able to transfer Patriot missiles from their own stockpiles.
We have already transferred Patriot interceptor missiles from our own stockpiles and a full Patriot system. The Netherlands will continue to support Ukraine in military, financial, and political terms. We allocate 3 billion euros per year, and this funding is guaranteed until the end of 2029

Going forward, the main task is to use the allocated funds as efficiently as possible to meet Ukraine’s most pressing needs.
According to Esser, the priority remains Ukrainian drones and air defense systems. The Netherlands remain fully committed to supporting Ukraine and emphasize the need for other European countries to contribute their fair share. This aligns with the interests of our shared security.
