How do I prepare this? My wife bought it, but we don’t have a clue ๐Ÿ˜…

  1. Either cut it into slices and put it on a bread or heat it up in hot – not boiling – water. Might take some time (more than Bockwurst or Wiener) though.

  2. It’s the tater of sausages. You can fry it, you can cook it, you can put it in a stew. Cold as Fleisch- or Wurstsalat.

    My childhood favourite:
    1. Sliced (ca. 1cm thick) and fried in a pan, served with mashed potatoes, peas and gravy.

  3. First of all: by a real one, not that non tasting stuff.

After that you have plenty of options: slice it and put it on top.of.yoir bread. Cut it and put it in “Kartoffelsalat” or “Nudelsalat”. Third idea is to cut it in bits and add some cut dried apricots and some cream. This combination has to be heated slowly and could be eaten with rice. Fourth idea: cut it in slices (~0.5cm thick) and bread it. Some white bread tastes perfectly with the breaded and baked Fleischwurst.

Be sure to peel off the skin first!

  4. Cut it into cubes (not the whole thing), fry it with onions. put in tomato paste + sieved tomatos add some broth + spices. Use it as tomato sauce with pasta. Win.

  5. the easyest is to cut about 5-10cm in 1cm wide discs and cut it into quarters. Now I get an thomy senf mittelscharf and put some on your plate. Now just dip the quarters in the mustard and eat it with slices of bread.
