Agentic workloads are boosting demand for next-generation CPUs built to keep pace with GPUs, and NVIDIA, Intel and AMD are each racing to define what that chip should look like.

This week NVIDIA added a new data point: a blog post detailing early customer results for its Vera CPU and confirming a successor already on the roadmap, the Rosa CPU, built around a new core called Rigel.
