Day 3:
The easily induced crying listening to Warning, when just the night before Patrick Walker was hosting a heavy metal Karaoke in the basement of the 013. Nothing throwing down one of the best performances I’ve seen from them. The insanity of the skate park stage, people moshing and crowd surfing on one of the boxes; all the lights have to stay on for insurance reasons, and I agree with that. The sets I missed: Mandy Indiana, Acid Mothers Temple, Chained To the Bottom Of The Ocean, to name a few.
The late nights renewing and strengthening bonds with friends, culminating with the Sunday night dance party at the Little Devil bar, are moments and memories I relish and look forward to over the recurring years. The ability to experience so many different emotional musical expressions from artists from all over the world is what makes Roadburn so special, and why I continue to return every year.
