The thing that really brought it home for me was filling a can for the lawnmower yesterday. Seeing how little €10 worth of petrol actually looks in a can was a bit of a gut punch. Like I know what it looks like on the cars petrol gauge but it’s still a bit arbitrary. Actually holding it in your hand is a real eye opener.
I just filled up with a new high score of €111. Fuck me!

I said to the missus yesterday when a micra is now expensive to ruin you know things are fucked. It’s not 70 quid to fill up my little 1.2 micra! Heart breaking stuff! Used to be 30 2 years ago!
When you are factoring in your ride on lawnmower as an expense you.know things are getting bad.
My local 15 cent more expensive then some places when you consider driving further to fill up a Jerry can 20l it’s all bit mad as Joe Dolan said “stop the world and let me off”
