Is there any way to see if this is legit, or if they just changed the date without actually getting a permit?

  1. The people who live across us are building a house without any regard to the parking situation in the street. They leave a remorque for weeks on end on one of the few parking spots we have while only using said remorque once every few weeks. Now it’s the second week that they reserved all 4 parking spaces in front of our house with this sign. I’m ok with it as long as they go the regular route of asking the city for permission and paying the fee. But I suspect they just put the signs there whenever they want and just print out a new paper without it being legit. So is there a way to see if they actually have a permit for reserving those parking spaces by putting down the signs?

  2. Not sure you can get a list of all request. It’s probably different in every city though.

Not gonna lie, I made a change like this once, because I tried to be nice and asked for a limited time (only the morning) and the delivery was late so discreetly add the rest of the day.

  3. Either the commune (public works department) or the local police zone can confirm or infirm if this is legitimate.

Commune: they are the one who delivered the permit and put the signs
Police: they are informed by the commune about works / duration because they could have to intervene to remove cars / issue fines /…

  4. In my city, when you need to block parking spots in a street, you have to possess an official document from the police (which authorize you to do so)

That document has to be visible on one of the signs. I had to do it twice, when I was doing some work on my place and when I moved out and required spaced for the lifting and the truck.

  5. Kan je dat niet vinden op de website van leuven of lokale politie? Manier vh doorstrepen en naast schrijven is allesinds een beetje louche
