My partner is Finnish and doesn’t give a fuck. She has literally never mentioned a negative aspect, and we haven’t been impacted in any way.
*Edit! There was something. We had to pay £4 or something when her Dad sent a gift.
It remains a fucking open wound for me, being British born and then stripped of my EU citizenship against my will based on a pack of lies and misinformation.
EU citizens who have been in the UK long-term have retained almost all the rights they had prior. They can still live everywhere in Europe.
It’s UK citizens that got their rights massively removed.
Brexiteers kept saying ‘we won, get over it’ so now when things go to shit we can say ‘this is what you voted for’, even if it has nothing to do with it. Try it, it’s fun!
Brexit will always be an open suppurating and septic wound.
6 years since the referendum or something now and we still have started to squeeze the puss and corruption out
Isn’t it an open wound for everyone?
Like genuinely, who has benefitted from Brexit?
Dinghy salesmen perhaps, bout all that come to mind.
Also… Brexit remains ‘open wound’ for UK citizens living on Planet Earth.
Luckily for him, Boris knows plenty of billionaire vampires who can get fat drinking from the wounds.
It’s an open wound for us former EU citizens living in the UK who had our EU citizenship taken away from us.
But mind eh, because JRM says that the fish are happy to be British.

Well, no shit. I remember my Brexit voting friends saying that “nothing will change for you, nobody will deport you”. And lo and behold I am unable to get my settled status since there were no exemptions made for seafarers regarding the “continuous residence” rules. So me and my family will have to leave at the end of my pre-settlement period.
The Royal family all supported brexit, probably the main reason it happened. Even Putin was used as a useful idiot by the UK establishment, they even got financial support from him.
I haven’t had to pay VAT on importing gunpla since Brexit
That is the only positive I can think of. I have no idea how I’m getting away with it as the site I buy from 100% isn’t collecting the VAT for the government like they are meant to now
I don’t think VAT free gunpla (and no silly royal mail free) was worth leaving the EU though
I voted out, our fish are our fish, just leave our fish alone ffs.
While I feel a lot of sympathy towards those affected in the article, one comment that really made me wonder about how privileged this class of people felt was from the Dutch guy who said (I’m paraphrasing) ‘I feel like an immigrant.’ Sorry mate, what exactly did you think you were? Oh right, only non-white people can be immigrants, what a dickhead. I didn’t vote for Brexit, but the attitude of some of these European-born immigrants to this country makes me not surprised that a lot of non-white Britons voted for it.
pROJEckT fEAR!
Idk makes 0 difference to me an eu citizen in the UK. Stop unnecessary drama.
The stressful part is constantly being challenged on their right to be here. My girlfriend has settled status, but there’s no way to prove it beyond and crappy confirmation email from a few years ago.
Everyone from banks to employers seem to go totally over the top as soon as her citizenship comes into it.
Why the won’t issue an official card I don’t know.

Anecdotal evidence incoming!

I can’t believe British politicians were so easily lured in and let the UK become one of the early casualties of the[ ‘Great Information Wars’](https://twitter.com/carolecadwalla/status/1498056686548013062)
