Hi!
Sorry if this is the wrong sub but I am not sure where to ask. I went to the dentist and he suggested doing an invisible braces treatment. While I see the benefit and I was wondering about doing it, the price (4400€) for a 4-5 month treatment put me off. I do not need anything extreme at all.
What is your experience? Do you think this is a reasonable price?
Edit: I checked [this website from Allianz] (https://www.allianz.de/gesundheit/zahnzusatzversicherung/aligner-therapie/) and price seems kinda reasonable. They quote 3500€ to 6500€.

dental work is difficult in germany since the insurence doesnt cover that much (but some if you can proof you went to the dentist the last 5 or 10 years)
Go to different dentist and let them give you different opinions.
Holy sh!t…
I paid the full 2 years in advance for my son’s treatment. In MXN it’s *does the math* 1,600 EUR.
Several orthodontists agree 2 years is the regular timespan, so… Are you going to pay around 22,000 EUR???
I’m pretty sure with that money you can fly to Mexico, have all your teeth replaced, stay 6 month in a upscale village at a nice beach and fly back. There’s a reason medical tourism is a thing over here.
On a second thought… I’m about to move to Germany so now I’m really scared
Find and join a local English speaking sub group on fb, ask the community what dental insurance they recommend or if they know of a broker who speaks English. You pay for coverage based on your dental needs. We saved half price on 4 implants and it’s totally worth it. Just do the research and you save a lot.
