Latham & Watkins is poised to hire a group of partners from Houston’s Baker Botts, including energy deals lawyer Jason Bennett.

Bennett, who leads the Baker Botts global projects practice and counts Sempra LNG among clients, is planning to exit after nearly 30 years at the firm, according to three sources familiar with the situation. The group includes Washington-based partners Matthew Fusina and Thomas Holmberg.
