I’ve lived this. It worsens your health and leaves you traumatised so that you fear your postman in case there’s a DWP letter. They try to deny you what you’re legally entitled to for as long as possible hoping that you give up and likely kill yourself. People have died because of this very toxic and hostile environment the DWP creates.
Assessors outright lie and ignore evidence you bring. They’re not trained to understand medical conditions or even body language. They are simply paid to say no. They’re paid very handsomely too, used to be double minimum wage just to tell disabled to go die.
My PIP got denied on the grounds I wasn’t a patient of mental health services. I was and it was overturned on appeal. The stress and the anxiety these ‘assessments’ put you through is horrendous. In 2020 I was ordered to attend an interview in MK on New Years Eve 6pm!!!! The waiting room was full of people including pensioners
