Good choice for the EU to side with the philippines about that water cannon incident in the west taiwanese sea.
No surprise there, China is basically trying to bully all it’s maritime neighbors not aligned with it (Vietnam, Philipines, SK, Taiwan, Japan) into accepting a new status-quo in the South China Sea.
This policy along with building those fake islands is an attempt to counter their very poor geostrategic position as any coalition with stronger naval power than them can almost entirely blockade them from the world market, effectively strangling the nation. This is going to be the lynchpin of Chinese military strategy this century.
