Like people are talking about possibility of Greece attacking now that they have America too in their back and they are militarizing the islands. Which I think is pumped by Erdog to gain more votes. One politician guy went to Greece and opened Turkish flag and said lets make peace and do not attack us lol. And much like Erdog, opposition tries to gain votes from that situation. And Saudi Arabia has been bullying us for years. Now Erdog wants to make peace with them again for money and opposition thinks its miserable. And I don’t know why he said that for Israel. Probably because he wants Islamists votes. CHP is more pro Israel in situations.
Turkey really is beyond saving. Stuck between a rock and a hard place. Quite sad really.

And it’s sad because obviously not all Turks are like that, but sadly they are outspoken by the very loud nationalists. This rhetoric is not new. Before that these kinds of threats were labeled as “2balkan4you” and not a lot of people gave a shit about it. But now with the war on Ukraine and also the Swe/Fin NATO problem people start to see that Turkey is kinda unstable and unpredictable right now.

I don’t think he would want to have very bad relations with the west. This is an election strategy. Most nationalists think that by arming the islands, Greece has invaded the islands. You may see this wrong, but if he says so openly, he can lose up to 10% of the vote. This can even change the election result. That’s why he says that if he is elected, he will pressure Greece to disarm the islands. Saying that he will establish relations with Israel may deter the Islamists’ votes. Everything said about the election strategy is not his own opinion.
