BERLIN — The Berlin Lions Club has donated to the Berlin Bears Youth Football and Cheer Organization.
“[The] contribution plays a crucial role in helping us achieve our 2026 goals and make a meaningful impact in our community,” Berlin Bears Fundraising Director Peter Swiatek said. “Safety is not just a priority, but a core value of our organization and we are committed to making sure all our athletes are safe. Along with our normal yearly operating expenses, this year’s donation will allow us to purchase new helmets for our football program that will meet the upcoming required safety standards being implemented by the National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment, along with new mats for our cheerleaders.
