Hi, lately I’m being called on my personal cellphone on a daily basis by unknown (hidden) numbers or by numbers from different places in Belgium (Antwerp, Brussels, Leuven, Nivelles). I never answer when I don’t know the number, and they never leave a voice message.
I don’t usually give my number to random people, and AFAIK this type of marking strategy is illegal according to GDPR (the call/email receiver must positively agree to their data being used for marketing purposes).
My question is: Am I alone? Or have other people been experiencing this? And is their anything I/we can do to stop it?

I’m already signed up on the “Do Not Call Me” list ([dncm.be](https://dncm.be)) but it doesn’t seem to make much of a difference.

Here’s a list of the numbers that have called me lately:

+32 2 752 84 82
+32 69 62 01 93
+32 361 42 48
+32 3 361 42 45
+32 2 555 13 33
+32 3 361 42 60
+32 16 79 23 25

Many phone apps have a “Direct all calls from numbers not in my address book to voicemail immediately” functionality, I suggest using it.
Usually once they called and that I know they are like « bullshit energy stuff » or whatever callcenter I block the number in my phone. There are sometimes new ones but at least not of the same in the future💪
There used to be something as the Robinson list. If you put your name on it, or even mention that you are on this list they stop calling you
Block those numbers, don’t pick up and don’t bother putting yourself on that do not call me list, it’s useless. That’s all you can do.
I know someone who works at the Economic Inspection and he said:
1. Add yourself to the Do Not Call Me-list (it’s free, no reason not to do it)
2. File a complaint at the FOD Economie or Safeonweb – they can block the numbers and prohibit providers to sell numbers to those persons (often third party countries).
Good luck!
if iphone user -> silence unknown callers. they go immediately to voicemail
The first number seems to be linked to a callcenter affiliated with Scarlet. Maybe you can file a complaint against them.
Not helpful to your case unfortunately, but my dad used to employ the hilarious tactic of claiming he didn’t need the service offered because he didn’t own the product mentioned. Ad infinitum.
