  1. Right… it totally would have happened if it wasn’t for Brexit…

You have to be deluded if you think there was ever a chance levelling-up would be a real thing Brexit or not.

  2. Levelling up is working incredibly well where I live, in a small town in the Midlands with a population of 27,000.

In the last three years we have got a new train station, new bus stops, new bridge, 3 new public toilet blocks, 6 new housing estates with 3 more to be built, 3 new commercial parks, 1 new industrial estate is being planned, a new leisure centre, a yearly festival celebrating a historical battle complete with medieval markets, crests from all the knights involved in the battle blazoned on the top of all the buildings in the high street, a new tourist centre, the town hall and market square were converted into a bar area including a council community pub where you can bring your own drinks and get a free jacket if your cold, several music events hosted in said new square, the abbey is being rebuilt as another tourist attraction, the museum re opened and got enough funding to stay open, all homeless people have been housed we have none on the streets anymore, a new A-Road food and fuel services and our cinema is being rebuilt after 20 years. Unemployment has gone down an immense amount.

It is the most attention we have received from the Government as a community for at least 80 years or ever (or so my Grandad says). We did vote for Boris and we did vote for Brexit. Depends where you live and who you voted for, as to whether you get funding.
