Please help save the WRI Wildlife Hospital

  1. It might be helpful if here or on the website someone could explain why it needs to be saved. There’s quite a bit of assumed knowledge of the situation.

  2. This is Ireland’s one and only dedicated Wildlife hospital. It’s currently set up in a driving range and they are looking for pp to convert it to a hospital. Every bit of support will help which is why they are asking people to write letters to Meath CoCo. They were previously set up behind a pub outside Navan in stables but they had to move due to the lease being up.
It needs to be saved because there is no other dedicated hospital. They anticipated saving 500 animals in the first year but I think they ended up exceeding that.

  3. >FEE Unfortunately there is a fee of €20 charged by the Council for each letter of support. Though we feel this should be abolished, it’s currently a statutory fee.

    Nice try, Meath County Council!
