How bizarre
> He complains that doctors did not warn him of the drastic outcome of the body-altering surgery which has left him infertile, incontinent and feeling like a ‘sexual eunuch’.
Did it really need stated what the end result of lopping your knob off would be?

Regardless of that. Perhaps it will at least highlight the need for people to really drill down and think long and hard about the pretty much one way operation they are about to put themselves through. If it makes people happy, absolutely glad to hear it. If however they have any lingering doubts then they should definitely propone it until they’re absolutely 100% sure and have thought about all the consequences before they end up with a life full of regret like this poor chap, as you can see on their Twitter feed. (I’ll not link it, not sure what the rules on that are)
Not surprised at the upvote %, never forget the [kind of scum](https://imgur.com/a/Pv9O4t1) that mod this sub
So having only yesterday finally received my referral for GRS myself, more than four and a half years after my initial referral to a GIC, I can tell you that in my case, I had three separate appointments, one with a nurse and two with doctors, where at each one I was told the nature of the operation, the potential adverse outcomes, what to expect and plan for recovery, I was informed about the effects it would have on my fertility and was asked if I wanted to pursue fertility preservation, and each doctor independently confirmed that I understood these risks because that’s a necessary requirement for getting the referral.
I plainly do not believe that this person was so woefully uninformed about the procedure, not to mention that it should be blindingly obvious that getting your testicles removed would leave you infertile. I think it’s obvious that they’re acting in bad faith, probably to try to drum up donations and make a tidy profit.
I dont think people understand the sheer amount of hoops you have to go through to get GRS.
I find it astonishing this person didn’t know what they were getting into with it.
I personally have had at least 4 doctors seperately walk me through the procedure to make sure it’s what I want over a period of a few years.
It’s the Daily Mail, it isn’t true.
