The government are to blame for lots of Ireland’s cost of living problems. But remember, there are a lot of regular Irish folks like the NIMBYs in this video who only think of themselves and never about the bigger picture
Maybe the three bedroom semi-Ds are the problem. pic.twitter.com/GLG4OYNThw

How the fuck could you describe Dundrum as a god damn village.
The government is also responsible for the legal mechanisms that allows these people to do what they’re doing, and should address it
Every village has a massive shopping centre and electric tram going into the centre of the capital, didnt you know?
The people are to blame most of the time.
As soon as crowds like this mention things like “biodiversity & climate change” An Bord Pleanala shit themselves.
A town close to us has perhaps the worst traffic congestion in the country, outside of Dublin, and a group of lunatics are taking them to the European high court citing these buzz words as reasons not to have the bypass built. *”Friends of the Bog”*
A bypass which would only benefit the town & shave hours off some people’s weeks.
Can we just appreciate the one guy Liam who is happy with it.
Good on you Liam even though your settled into a nice area you understand its important to add more to these areas.
Sorry but dundrum s a place that has gotten massive public investment over the years it’s time to give back.
honestly the way dundrum (and all of dublin really) is designed is awful, just a shopping centre and hoards of apartments, no offices, nothing. It all goes back to poor planning.
It’s never the NIMBYs.
It’s always the planners and policy makers who draw up plans for developments that are littered with holes that can be exploited by NIMBYs.
If they did their jobs correctly then there wouldn’t be flaws to latch on to to stop projects.
Could you actually imagine how it must be to be such a selfish prick as to get involved in something like that. Genuinely wish those people the very very worst.
Fairplay to Liam O Donnell in the video. “I think that anything there would be an improvement. I have no problems with it. People have to live, somewhere.”
We need more people like Liam.
