Fux ache, better ban all council tenants from having any pets just in case one of them injures a visitor to one of the properties.
Ridiculous that the council has to even respond to this, waste of money getting legal advice and submitting to court.
What a f-cking joke. The only people responsible are the dog owners. Stop leaving pets and children alone together!!! especially a child that’s just visiting.

If the council loses this case we are screwed.
IIRC council paid up in similar case recently. A tennant if a house left a dog on the loose and it bit a child in a play area on the councils estate. Council to blame because it had a no dog policy. Go figure but that’s what happened. No. 1 rule in the country seems to be that the injured party gets very well paid, it’s just a matter of who does the paying and lawyers go after whoever can pay. Madness. Nice if you get hurt though and I hope in the above case that the injured party is adequately compensated, just wish those responsible paid for it.
