Damn I loved that place. The Classic and Stella were my local cinemas through out the 80’s and 90’s.
I remember a friend won a free movie pass for the classic once. We could go see a free movie every day, all summer long. I don’t know what they thought they were plaything at though, since they only had two screens. So we went to see Who Framed Roger Rabbit like ten times in a row. I don’t think we even got the chance to watch any other movie with that pass.
The last movie I saw there was Minority Report, and by then it fallen into a state of total disrepair. Half the screen was out of focus and one corner was completely cut off and dark. The admission price had also gone through the roof at that point too. It was a euro or two cheaper to go to Cineworld in town at the time, including bus fares.
Never heard of it
These are flipping lovely; You should consider selling prints of these.. Any chance you’re going to do one of the old Forum in Glasthule?
