Less than 1 hour ago I was listening to a news update about today’s NATO meeting, and the reporter said it was unlikely any significant progress would be made on Turkey’s opposition to Sweden and Finland joining the alliance!
Overall, this is a promising development. Despite some people thinking Turkey should be kicked out of NATO for various reasons, they’re strategically crucial. Plus as war rages in Ukraine, it’s important to show Russia they only succeeded in uniting and strengthening an organization they loathe.
Nationalists over in r/Turkey are punching the air right now. Googled translated some comments and they are disappointed.
