Who’s informing policy in this government at the moment? This is such an awful look at a time when the nation is struggling. I can’t think of anything more tone deaf they could wheel out right now.
Devils advocate… Isn’t this just money left on the table for HMRC?
More money earned, more money to tax, and at a higher rate..

Got to say I’m liking LBC a lot at the mo. Always kind of dismissed it but recently been listening a lot. They have presenters from all across the spectrum and in the centre. Some of them are a bit far out but most seem to be genuinely trying to just get a rational conversation going. They’re about the only outlet at the moment that I think is actually taking balance seriously and trying to give every side a voice.

I suspect that is not far off the mark.
I really need a EILI5 on how this government can openly brazenly break rule and law after convention and why they can’t be forcibly removed from office is there no true route to this
If a bank has 0% taxpayer stake then it should be able to gift whatever bonuses it wants to.
However if doesn’t then it should be prevented from doing so.
