So current rumours are network rail have come up to 4% on the condition of fully Implementing their modernization which likely is gonna be a fuck up.
RMT come down to 7% and no compulsory redundancies.
Meet in the middle at 6% and only voulantry redundancies get the strikes finished and we can bash out a modernisation plan that’s not backwards as fuck.
In my naïve days, I used to always think negotiations went something like;
“I want x.”
“I’ll give you z.”
“Let’s agree to meet in the middle at y.”
However, I’ve learnt the real world doesn’t work that way, which is why greed usually ends up dictating in a negotiation which ends up getting, “x, y, and a little bit of z for good measure.”
Bunch of fucking idiots. Rail gets paid decent. If they want the cleaners to get paid more that’s a different protest. Any wage 30k+ is good. Fuck the entitled rail workers 🤷♂️
