Could it be at least partially due to the UK’s “reckless” decision to remove all Covid restrictions in the summer in order to allow cases to gradually rise at a manageable level during the warmer months?
Might mean that enough folks now have recent antibodies & natural immunity so that huge waves of the disease over winter are less likely.

NB. I caught a dose last week. Am currently halfway though the isolation period. Symptoms are pretty mild (am double jabbed, no 3rd booster yet though).

This headline makes it sound like a lockdown is a thing that just happens in nature. Can we avoid a lockdown? Yes, we can, if the government chooses not to impose one..

Edit: it was actually coined by the Sun newspaper a day before the BBC used the term “Europe-style”… food for thought.
This the same Europe style that avoided having the highest death rate in Europe with the first lock down?
