Over these last few years I have met dozens of Latvians who told me that they vacationed in Portugal, most of whom told me they went to Porto (why not Algarve?).
I suspect that they ate these “pasteis de nata” (a national pastry) and liked them so much that Rimi thought it’d be worth to sell them?
So glad to hear Latvians are discovering my country. Next goal: Portuguese embassy in Riga. 🤞
In Cēsis there is a small cafe that does pasteis de nata quite well. [https://www.facebook.com/KarumladeCesis/](https://www.facebook.com/KarumladeCesis/) Mate of mine says they are not as good as back in Portugal but I find them super addictive! If you are going to festival Lampa this weekend or just going to Cēsis you should check them out!
Check out Promo Cash&Carry , they always have them and there might be cheaper
Ahaa, that’s where these tasty things are coming from!
I think Narvesen was selling them for quite a while now, also Lidl sells them freshly baked every day.
Piečuks?!?!? Es jebal
As a Latvian who had studied in Portugal, I really miss them as well
Que bom! Más onde ficam?
Hopefully they sell these in Estonia aswell, pasteis are one of the best things I’ve ever eaten, especially those from Belem
