There will be a rail disaster if NWR get what they want through. I can pretty much guarantee it.
The private rail companies couldn’t give any less of a shit. To them, profits > safety

Well, why shouldn’t people travelling be allowed a choice? Put a disclaimer up, let the passengers decide.
It takes ages to train up a new driver to work independently and they have to pass some very rigorous assessments to qualify to begin with. It’s not like we can go to an agency or get people on UC to do shifts on the rails. If workers continue to strike then rail networks are going to be held to ransom until negotiations are successful. Let’s hope the workers are successful and it sets a precedent for other industries for the summer.
