They should be paying the fines and additional profits back to the countries where the bribes subverted the market… if not, I do not quite understand how the British government should benefit from discovering foreign illegality.

In lots of countries this is just the cost of doing business. It’s not even really a bride when everyone knows it’s happening and it just makes people do their jobs, it’s no different to any licensing scheme or medieval monopoly…
