The company said its crews are working to restore normal service as quickly as possible and recommended that passengers consider using alternative means of transportation in the meantime.
Last week, Israel Railways announced that a fire in the Be’er Ya’acov area had temporarily halted train service between Lod, Rehovot and Ashkelon, as well as between Lod and Rishon Lezion HaRishonim.
The disruption also caused delays and service changes affecting trains serving the Ashkelon, Ashdod Ad Halom Metropol, Yavne East, Be’er Ya’acov, Lod and Rishon Lezion HaRishonim stations.
This is a developing story.
