ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — President Donald Trump recently made a stop in Georgia to not only tout the Trump Accounts program, but also put a spotlight on many of the GOP candidates in Georgia’s November election.
On The Record is a weekly political show hosted by Atlanta News First anchor Rick Folbaum and political reporter Doug Reardon. It airs every Sunday at 11 a.m. on Atlanta News First.
The program, which can also be seen on Atlanta News First’s website and all of its streaming and podcasting platforms, features extensive interviews with Atlanta’s and Georgia’s most influential political leaders, newsmakers and analysts.
Hundreds of protesters gathered across the street from Wheeler High School, where the event was held, and along Roswell Road nearly a mile away ahead of Trump’s appearance.

On Tuesday, voters will also head to the polls for the special election for Georgia’s 13th Congressional District. The contest will decide who will fill the late David Scott’s seat.
