I highly doubt that Trudeau would spend any money on a campaign perceived as counter to the interests of the Chinese Communist Party.
It seems a lot of money is being spent on everything. It’s pretty much weekly news now that some thing or another got a few hundred billion budget increase, be it the energy investments to counter Russia sanctions, military budgets or this.

The G7 can never truly counter the Belt and Road, because half of China’s aims are to introduce bad debt through populist spending projects and then capture the infrastructure when nations cannot pay for it.
Whereas the West largely tries to play by the rules and focuses more on economically stable projects (“returns for everyone”), as well as less tangible investments such as education, anti-corruption etc… the opposite of what half of the leaders being wooed by China want.
These annoying tasks are only time-consuming; they are not difficult in any way. An additional sign of the control of public accounting work life. You must cheat in order to complete more of your extremely important py wp roll forwards by midnight.
This talk of countering ain’t impressing anybody else, they’re not fighting like that. If the West turned up with no-strings-attached infrastructure investments, and carried them out, they’d be welcomed. They’ve had a long time going in the other direction tho, so it’s really going to take something. Europe is missing a trick by not jumping in with China here to help out — the US is a spent wad (except in the literal sense, unfortunately)
It’s high time we take action in this manner. Comparing Biden’s foreign policy to the isolationism advocated by Trump supporters is so refreshing.
600 billion is nothing in front of China’s program. Also the budget was reduced drastically.
I like the photo make me feel important for a second
Interesting, but how and why?
China already devoured many many tens of billions to it, and has put aside a trillion dollars to this project. They’ve been buying strategic locations from countries for decades. I don’t believe G7 can stop them per say, but maybe give aid to countries that China bought lands in?

What do they care, it’s our money.
