Ameresco Sunel Energy SA, a Romania-based PV EPC joint venture, has announced a 58 MW project in Iratosu, Arad County. The ground-mounted facility is being developed for TDI Renewables Ltd and will have 48 MW AC / 58 MW DC of installed capacity. Ameresco Sunel will provide engineering, procurement and construction services, followed by ongoing operation and maintenance for the plant. The scope also includes a 33 kV/110 kV substation and underground cable works connecting the facility to Romania’s electricity grid. The company will manage design, procurement, construction, commissioning and long-term operations across the project’s implementation phases. The completed plant is expected to offset approximately 53,920 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually during operations. The Iratosu development follows previously announced Romanian solar parks with a combined installed capacity of 466 MW.
