POLAND TWP – Emergency crews are at the scene of a car crash at the intersection of Poland Way and Route 224 in Poland Township. First responders told 21 News that the occupants of one car suffered serious injuries.
The car appears to have run off the road, into a nearby ravine.
A medical helicopter was seen responding to the scene but responders say nobody was life-flighted.
The traffic backup on Route 224 leading up to the scene of the crash is the length of nearly two football fields, according to 21 News crews on the scene.
The cause of the crash is currently unknown but at least one child appears to have been involved.
It is unclear if either road is closed but drivers are advised to take an alternate route while crews work.
