For a week and a half in July, a group of 125 youth soccer players from across the East End — including a few from farther afield — traveled together to Sweden to participate in the Gothia Cup, the world’s largest international youth soccer tournament.

The Southampton Town United Soccer Club, run by Executive Director Andreas Lindberg, an East Quogue resident, took several teams to the annual tournament for the fourth time in the club’s history, giving the group of male and female soccer players, ranging in age from 11 to 17, the experience of a lifetime.
