Driver critically injured in Route 196 crash in Lisbon
Two-vehicle car crash leads to critical injuries for one
LISBON, Maine —
A driver suffered critical injuries Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Route 196, police said in a statement.
At 3:46 p.m. the Lisbon Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 196, Lisbon Street, in front of Sabattus Creek Trailer Park.
Police say that a 33-year-old from Topsham was traveling westbound in a Subaru when it crossed into the path of a Chevrolet Silverado that was being operated by a 38-year-old from Lewiston. Their identities are currently being withheld.
The Subaru driver sustained critical injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston before being transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland. The operator of the Silverado sustained no apparent injuries and remained cooperative with investigators.
The crash remains under investigation.
