  1. Terrible news & hopefully everyone’s okay, this is an amazing use of technology in an area where we’re normally stuck in the past.

“We used new technology that enabled a caller to send live stream videos of the incident straight into the Brigade’s 999 call centre,”

I know I’m old now when you have to Livestream your fire to 999..

“Don’t forget to like and subscribe to my fire, and there are exclusive hot pictures of the naughty fire on onlyfans for only 9.99 an month”

  3. Eery considering it was 5th anniversary of the Grenfell fire last week.
Hopefully the number of firefighters/appliances on ground means they managed to get it under control and nobody is seriously hurt.

I feel for the fire brigade on this one.. not doubting their professionalism but you know there are going to be staff on duty who were there before, and you don’t just forget that sort of thing. They had to see some absolutely horrific things.

  4. “Further residents who were not affected by fire, heat or smoke were advised to remain in their flats.”

Wasn’t that a big problem with Grenfell? I wonder if anybody listened to this advice..

  5. I hate how some of these articles are presented to maximize interest!

So if it was a fire in a tower block in East ham would it not be important because it’s no longer close to Grenfell?

The amount of times they tried to rattle the birdflu scaremongering sabres during covid. Absolutely nuts.

Re this article i hope everyone is safe and not too much damage.

  6. That’s good, no carnage outside of the flat itself it seems. Honestly, I lived in a non-London block, there was a fire upstairs on my side of the building and I didn’t even know, because it only affected a handful of flats. How it should be.

  7. I hope they send loads of units there.

According to insurance claims and lawsuits, there were 287,389 people living in Grenfell tower when that caught fire….
