There should be some agreement about pathway to standardize.
I look at Germany and I laugh. Nice in theory to have a standard in such a big country, but their local trains usually run on diesel, are super loud, stinky, and always late. They are still promising to electrify some of the most used intercity lines, too.
Shameful for us.
No railways on the Isle of Man? Don’t they know about the Manx electric railway https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manx_Electric_Railway ? It’s the oldest electric railway in service with original rolling stock (opened 129 years ago). (ok, so it says no tourism..)
Could lokomotives from germany run on french lines, just a bit faster, or would they blow up?
And when one know that Denmark have is fairly new to the game, and they choose a different standard that it’s neighbours 🙈
Nothing outside of Dublin…surprised.
Wait, Iceland has railways? I was expecting it to be black
