Was just thinking they might want to change the party name.
Thornberry said, on C4 news earlier, that because Labour is a “government in waiting”, it’s not appropriate for MPs to show solidarity on the picket line. Not even sure what “government in waiting” means, but would the party ever describe itself as anything but? Have we now seen the permanent end of Labour MPs supporting striking workers?
Labour built by the unions now punishing members for supporting a legal industrial action.
Just when you think they might be improving they manage to go down in my estimations yet again.
It’s time for the unions to disaffiliate from Labour and back a new workers’ party.
Jesus Christ what a disaster of a stance. Wouldn’t be surprised if he was challenged for the leadership if he started punishing people for attending picket lines.
Keir has majorly fucked up on his stance over this he should be supporting it fully
I agree with OP. If Sir Keir Starmer can’t keep discipline in his own Party, what chance does he have of running the country?
Democracy eh Keith?
Clumper! So this is where you hang out now.
Good to see you’re still a bastion of radical centrism.
No point punishing them, just play it down and let it blow over.
Would say another party could capitalise on this and get votes off Labour, but then remembered we have FPTP, so that’ll just risking handing the Tories another election victory.
‘Likely’ doing a lot of heavy lifting in this story.

Not a good look for the party at all
