ah free WiFi, that gets promised every few years like clockwork
To be fair this is one of the few projects that makes some actual sense.

A lot better than white water rafting in the capital anyway.
Free public wifi managed by a government agency.
Best get a VPN (who will also fuck you but at least you know who is fucking you)
We’ll see when it happens. I feel like I’ve been hearing about this for 10 years now
Meath County Council have been rolling that out during the last month. 2 towns have public WiFi now so it’s not as much of a pie in the sky idea as it was in the past.
Might have been useful 10 years ago. You can get a months data for less than the price of two pints of Guinness nowadays.
Connecting to open public WiFi is not without its risks. Personally I wouldn’t connect and my work devices specifically prohibit it, so not like I could go to a coffee shop etc and log in to do some work
Most packages now come with either unlimited or insane amounts of data. Some will use it but honesty it’s 10 years too late. It’s certainly not going to be a deciding reason for anyone to shop in the city
How many times has this promised now? I distinctly remember around 2005 the same announcement.
How can we give even MoAr money to hotel….
Logging onto free public wifi doesn’t sound very safe?
Jaysus. Cause the most dire thing we need is free Wi-Fi for which they will spend millions. Talk about priorities.

Really don’t see the need for free Wi-Fi
