Have they reduced the number of clinics they do a year? They used to come to Maynooth every 3 months but they were here in Feb and the next one isn’t until August.
Have given blood before but often when they’re there it just doesn’t suit at the time.
Does anyone know what restrictions there are if you have been in Peru?
I plan to call them later but maybe somebody here knows.
There is a permanent clinic in stillorgan but it only opens Tuesday to Thursday and at that, on Wednesdays and Thursday it’s not open until 1pm.
Closest clinic to me is over an hour away and is only there once a month. I used to donate regularly when I lived in Dublin but outside the Dublin region they need more regular clinics. I’d be happy to donate if it wasn’t so challenging to do so.
I was called by them last week to go give blood tomorrow in D’olier Street as they had too many people cancel on them.
Got a message today that they’ve cancelled my appointment in favour of running it as a walk in clinic now and accomodating people who just walk in off of the street.
I’d love to donate blood but on the Irish Blood website FAQ, I can’t donate because of a blood issue my mam has that unfortunately is a hereditary thing. So that disqualifies me from donating.
Shame they turn away blood donations from northerners or id help out!
They should stop exporting it.
I had an incident over seven years ago where I passed our after donating.
I’ve had three kids since then and no issues with bloods etc yet they still wont let me donate again. I’ve gotten clearance from two doctors and still nothing
I called to enquire about donating blood, but no one answered the phones, also the clinics aren’t near me
They need to give better treats after donating in my opinion (as a regular donator). Finally getting a cup of tea again, which just makes all the difference. But if they could bring Mr. Kipling back…
