  1. For context this is sort of the semi final big step. After this the accession will be sent out to all 30 members to sign before Sweden and Finland officially become members. All 30 members passing it in their legislatures could take some time for context it seems to on average take about a year in most recent cases but hopefully will be moved quicker given context. It’s important to note how fast this process has been. For past members the wait time between being given an invite and signing the accession protocol was in North Macedonias case 6 months, Albania and Croatia 4 months, so the fact that it will be less then a week shows the speed their moving in comparison.

The process for Sweden and Finland joining is the following

    Submit Application: Complete

    Receive Invitation to Join: Complete

Accession Protocol: Will be signed July 5th

All 30 Members have signed agreement to them joining: TBD

    Sweden and Finland Join: TBD
