Sarah Ferguson left Royal Lodge after 20 years and it was unknown where she would head to next. Sarah and her ex-husband, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lived together at the Windsor estate, where they once claimed to be the “happiest divorced couple in the world”.
But, after public uproar surrounding Andrew’s relations with convicted paedophile financier, Jeffrey Epstein, the two were asked to leave. The former couple lived at the 30-room mansion from 2004 to 2008, but they finally separated after leaving the royal property. Andrew now lives at Marsh Farm, a much smaller property in Norfolk. Sarah has tried to keep a low profile since leaving Royal Lodge, with reports surfacing on her “latest hiding place”.
She did not move to the Sandringham Estate with her ex-husband, and she has now apparently sought a new home instead.
Andrew was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office in February but has since been released.
The ex-royal was stripped of his titles due to his association with Epstein, who died in 2019.
Andrew and Sarah have both been mentioned multiple times in the Epstein Files, but this does not imply any wrongdoing.
Some reports say Sarah is temporarily based in the United Arab Emirates, while others say she is house hunting in London.
She was left without a home after being evicted from the Royal Lodge, and her children, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, could not offer her a permanent base, reports LBC.
A report from April suggested she was staying with friends in Austria and feared returning to the UK.
In an “emotional” reunion, Beatrice and Eugenie reportedly visited their mother recently. Sarah has grown “desperate”, reports Closer Magazine after being forced out of Royal Lodge.
According to reports, a source has claimed Sarah has begged her daughters to help her out of the “nightmare” predicament she has found herself in.
Closer reports that the insider said: “Beatrice and Eugenie are in an absolutely terrible position because, at the end of the day and for all her faults and flaws, Sarah is still their mother and they love her and worry about her.
“When they saw her in Austria, it was incredibly emotional; Sarah didn’t even try to hide how desperate the situation has become.
“The money’s running out, the credit cards are at the limit, and so far, Andrew has had no luck securing any sort of extra help from Charles for her.
“It’s no wonder Sarah’s convinced the girls are the only ones she can turn to. She’s putting a lot of pressure on them to rescue her from this nightmare.”
