Oh well, shame for the 11,000 who won’t be getting it.
One time bonus ain’t gonna help pay the bills every month.
Would getting a bonus stop wage negotiations in future???
Id take it. When i worked in Libraries we didn’t get a pay rise for 4 years whilst Unison “negotiated” a pay rise. Essentially after 4 years of no pay rises they “negotiated” a 1.1% pay rise instead of a 0.8% pay rise. It wasn’t backdated so I ended up with less money anyway… cancelling my Union membership immediately afterwards saved me more money than they got me though.
Definitely an interesting short read.
I’m surprised they’re challenging it, but then I shouldn’t be since it is their job to negotiate. You don’t usually accept the first value given when buying a car from a dealership.
These union idiots will just bring about job losses
Interesting that according to the story I read on this, that the union has not balloted the Rolls Royce workers about rejecting this offer. Despite the fact that Rolls Royce have stated that the £2,000 and a 4% pay offer is all that will be on the table. I would have thought at the very least this would have been put to a vote of the actual workers.
