The area is bustling with prancing pups as two are set to represent GB at international level.
Dexter, 4, and Skyla, 9, will be showing off their skills at the European Open Dog Dance Championships in Sweden from September 10 to 13, in heelwork and freestyle respectively.
However, getting there could set their owners back a hefty amount, so fundraising will be vital.
Claire Rasell from Little Bytham took on golden retriever Dexter when his mother rejected him at just two weeks old.
She soon enrolled him in training classes with Britain’s Got Talent finalist Lucy Heath in Grantham, and watched him flourish.
Since then, he has learned a number of moves and routines, and performed in shows and competitions across the country — but now it’s time to take it even further.
Meanwhile, Claire Giles, from a village between Stamford and Grantham, who has been in the industry for about 15 years, has also been training Skyla since she was a puppy.
They have made it to the Crufts semi-finals for several years in a row.
Each owner was jumping for joy when they found out they were selected to represent the nation.
Ms Rasell said: “It’s so exciting, the whole idea of going away and being part of a team of people that I have looked up to through the whole journey almost as an equal is just a phenomenal feeling.”

“I can’t wait to go and show off Dexter and to show off all of the work we have put in.”
Ms Giles added: “I was in disbelief. The team that’s going is full of amazing handlers, so to be part of that feels like an incredible achievement.”

On top of that, Ms Giles is hoping to boost engagement by posting one of Skyla’s tricks on social media every day for 31 days.
