We’ve had much worse. During the 90’s we had more or less the highest debtrate in Europe with 130%. Now one country after another has passed us (Greece, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, US and temporarily Iceland and Ireland aswell). We are fast becoming middle of the pack with our 108% debtrate.
The gap between Belgium and the average in the EU or eurozone was like 50% at some point, now the gap is like 10% with the average of the EU.
